  16. Light Printing Co. Now Offers a 35mm Slide Imaging Service,
  17. Expanding its NeXT based High Resolution PostScript Service Bureau.

  19. New York - October 15, 1993 - Light Printing Co., Inc. today went
  20. on line with GS Corporation eXTRASLIDE/Polaroid Digital Palette
  21. system. This system allows for 35mm slide imaging from Concurrence,
  22. other NeXTstep third party applications, ps, eps and tiff files.

  24. Like the NeXT laser printer, this system has no PostScript
  25. interpreter. Unlike other slide imaging systems, files can be
  26. created in the Display PostScript environment. Files can be built
  27. with Alpha channel information. Additionally, JPEGed tiff files can
  28. be imaged, color can be added to areas surrounding an image, or
  29. images can be scaled to best fit a slide.

  31. NeXT mail has enabled Light Printing to offer its NeXT based
  32. PostScript service for offset quality film negatives to a
  33. nation-wide clientele. Light's package of free offset negative film
  34. in conjunction with printing, bindery and mailing services results
  35. in a one-stop printing plant only a modem call away. Consultation
  36. services are available for slide or printing preparation.
